Blake Griffin appears at the Randy Foye Foundation’s Basketball Camp June 2011
I can’t even explain how this worked out. Actually that’s a lie because I can and I will. Let’s flashback to my collegiate career at Villanova University. Though I never played on a varsity team a lot of people that I was on really good terms with were on the basketball team. One of the players, Chris Charles, has been my best friend for close to ten years. I met Randy Foye when we were both freshmen and we’ve been cool ever since. He’s gone on to be one of Villanova’s greatest collegiate players and is currently doing great things in the NBA as a player for the LA Clippers.
Randy asked me to come and shoot his basketball camp and I travelled using NJ transit’s dreaded train on a day of despicable delays. From Philly to the champ’s location, its about a 4 hour trip. Once we arrived, Blake came soon after and all of the camp’s kids loved him. He’s a pretty cool guy and he signed as many autographs as there were kids. I love being a photographer. Thanks again to Randy, Christina, and the entire organization for the opportunity.
